Wedding FAQ

Jacobsen's Flowers has been honored to help brides and grooms create many beautiful memories since 1920. When brides and their families come visit to discuss their wedding flowers, they come with needs and concerns that allow us the opportunity to share with you the most frequently asked questions.

How early should I order my flowers?
It's a good idea to start considering your floral options four to six months prior to your wedding. Have your bridesmaids dress color selected and any photo's that help describe the look in which you want to achieve. If your wedding date falls on or near a Holiday such as Valentines Day or Mothers Day, you may want to place your order sooner, as it is sometimes necessary to limit the number of weddings during these exceptionally busy times.

"I know absolutely nothing about flowers, but I sort of know what I want, can you help?"
Absolutely! Make an appointment with one our talented wedding consultants and ask as many questions as you need! We have a library of wedding books to help you visualize what you may have in mind, or trust our wedding expert to know the exact look you're going for and decide what types of flowers are best for your wedding as well as your budget.

"Can I get any type of flower year around?"
There are many types of flowers available throughout the year while there are some that may be strictly seasonal. Our wedding consultants know what will be available for your big moment and will be happy to show you your choices or make recommendations.

"Is there a guarantee I will get what I order?"
While we go the extra mile to insure your flower of choice, Mother Nature may have other plans.
On very rare occasions may there be the need for substitutions in which of course our consultants will notify the bride and discuss comparable and other options. We do however guarantee that your bouquet will be an absolute dream.

"Will my flowers stay fresh all day?"
Our design staff use only the best quality and the freshest flowers to create your bouquets, corsages, boutonnières and ceremony arrangements. For best results for staying fresh during the course of the day your flowers should be kept refrigerated until the time of the festivities.

"Do you have any rental items or decorations for the church or reception?"
Your wedding consultant can explain to you what we have available to embellish your wedding or reception with such lovely add on's such as lavishly decorated arbors, candelabras, pedestals, ornate gift money mail box, lighted silk trees, or green foliage plants. If you have other ideas, we will try our best to accommodate your wishes.
